The Importance of Religious Education (RE) at Our School
Religious Education (RE) is a key part of our curriculum, helping students to develop respect, empathy, and understanding for others in our diverse society. At our school, we teach the seven principal faiths found in Britain today: Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Judaism, and Humanism. Through exploring these beliefs and worldviews, pupils learn to appreciate different perspectives, consider moral and ethical questions, and reflect on their own values and identity.
We value the religious backgrounds of all members of our school community and encourage everyone to share their own experiences freely. All religions, cultures, and communities are treated with respect and sensitivity, helping to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcomed and valued.
