Dear Parents and Carers
It gives me great pleasure to write to you as the Headteacher of Watton at Stone Primary and Nursery School and to welcome you to what I am sure will be a very busy and exciting year ahead.
I was certain from my first visit to the school and during my interview, that Watton at Stone was the perfect choice for me as Headteacher and since starting my post this week I have been tremendously impressed by the whole school, especially the children. Every time I go into a classroom or the playground I am welcomed by a sea of inquisitive smiley faces, each desperate to learn and immensely proud of their school.
Since my appointment in March, I have been actively involved in shaping the direction for the school with the school leaders and Governors.
I believe Watton at Stone is a school of huge potential and I am determined to secure an outstanding future for the school. I have the very highest expectations of the staff and all the children and it is my intention by working together we can make our school the best it can possibly be.
I will be holding 3 coffee mornings on Thursday 19th September, Tuesday 22nd October and Wednesday 4th December at 9:00a.m. Refreshments will be served and I welcome the opportunity to meet you all in person and hear your thoughts about the school.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the numerous parents/carers who have made me feel so welcome this week, your well-wishes and positive comments have been greatly appreciated. Looking forward to working closely with you in the future.
